The various collaborative works of Vacheron Constantin and Verger Frères, of which the present lot is an example, are much celebrated today. Verger, a renowned French firm, was the Vacheron & Constantin Paris representative between 1880 and 1930. In this partnership, Vacheron Constantin would create movements, and upon arrival in Paris, Verger Frères would case them in watch and clock cases.
