The chairs may have been slightly reduced in height. One chair is taller than the other by ¾ inches. There is a large patch to crest of taller chair, and both back posts from top rail to the seat frame are replaced and joined to the original lower sections forming the back legs. Front and back aprons of one chair are veneered replacements. Both chairs with patches, filled repairs, and consolidated joinery.
