the luohan balancing atop a slender reed above a base of swirling waves, with hands clasped beneath the voluminous folds of long layered robes, the bald head slightly turned to one side with well defined features and penetrating gaze beneath thick furrowed brows, the back impressed with Taoya tang rectangular seal mark

Condition
In overall good condition, without signs of restorations or losses. Minor firing flaws to the exterior, and minor firing flaws and firing cracks to the interior of the base. The glaze has a very slight blue tint to the body but pools to a pale ochre at the upturned edges of the robe and between the waves where the glaze is most concentrated.
