cast seated in dhyanasana with the right hand holding a willow stem and the left holding a cup, dressed in loose robes elaborately decorated with floral borders, open at the chest to reveal beaded jewels, the face with downcast eyes framed by elongated earlobes suspending pendent earrings, the hair dressed in a top knot with knotted plaits falling over the shoulders, wearing a tiara centered by a figure of Amitabha Buddha, all supported on an associated four-tier lotus flower base (2)

Condition

The fingers all intact. The tip of the attribute in the raised hand lost, and the base with a small area of loss measuring 3 cm long by 0.5 cm deep at the bottom left corner. Scattered minor losses along the base edge and to the crown and robe edge. Casting flaws throughout including patches to the back. The patch on the forehead possibly an old repair, or a patch just after the original casting. The base with wear, pitting, and the non-gilded parts corroded, with minor breaks but stable.
