the flattened pear-shaped body supported on a tall foot, the body decorated with taotie masks reserved on a leiwen ground, framed above and below by bands of stylised mythical beasts divided by vertical flanges, the neck flanked by a pair of tapir masks supporting an upright handle in the form of a twisted rope, the cover with matching decoration

Condition

There is a break through the handle to the top at one side and there is also damage to one mask that has been restored. There is also some minor wear/scratches to the underside of the base.
