the rounded body rising from a splayed foot to a waisted shoulder, applied with two elephant handles in iron-red and gilt, painted in bright enamels with two goats standing under a pine tree in a rocky landscape with camellia, with a further recumbent goat, between panels of ruyi and below a central band of keyfret, the shoulder and foot with stylised lotus scrolls on a lime-green ground, the base with a seal mark in iron-red on a turquoise ground, mounted as a lamp
Condition
The vase has been cut down at the rim and has been mounted with a bronze lamp fitting and there is a 7cm by 1.5cm area of horizontal repair just below this to one side. There is also a 4mm diameter drill hole to the lower part of the body to one side, with an over 1.1cm area affected.

三羊圖案象徵春回大地，開年好運之意。三隻羊與初升紅日一起，組成吉祥寓意「三羊（陽）開泰」。《易經》中首次提到 「三陽」，意指三條陽線即為 「泰」，寓意吉亨。「泰」位於代表大地的三條坤線之下；因而「三陽開泰」意為新年起始，萬事亨通。
香港蘇富比曾於2008年4月11日售出一近例，編號3025；香港佳士得於2015年12月2日售出另一例，編號3229；紐約蘇富比則於2006年3月30日售出一瓶例，銘《慎德堂製》款，編號354；2011年5月11日又售出一例，編號283。
