清道光 青花八吉祥蓮紋爐、觚一組三件 《大清道光年製》《二聖庵》款

comprising a tripod censer, the globular body raised on three cabriole legs and set with curved upright handles; and a pair of gu-form beaker vases with flared necks above bulbous sections supported on bell-shaped bases; all finely painted with the bajixiang (Eight Buddhist Emblems), surrounded by stylised lotus blossoms borne on foliate scrolls between ruyi, lappet and keyfret bands, inscribed with a six-character seal mark within a rectangular cartouche and a three-character mark reading Ersheng An (Temple of Two Deities)

One gu vase has been extensively restored from the upper part of the base, the bulbous middle section to the flared upper part of the vase. It appears that the vase vase broken into several parts and restored and partially overpainted. The inside of the bulbous mid-section has been filled. The other gu-shaped vase has restoration to the flared neck and the upper part of the bulbous middle section. It appears that this part of the vase was broken into several parts and restored and partially overpainted. The inside of the bulbous mid-section has been filled. The censer has a hairline crack starting at and going around the base of one foot where it joins the body and extending all around the base of the censer above the three feet. The rim and the handle are restoration. There is a glaze pull to one foot and spur marks around the base which is unglazed.
