Condition
In excellent condition with the exception of minor nibbling along the extremities. The stone is of a brighter tone compared to the catalogue illustration.

本品匠心獨運，在玉石上刻畫出微型經典山水風景，且將玉材天然紋理巧妙融入設計之中。此類微型山水的視覺元素源自大自然，而風景中的人物花鳥等，皆為複雜廣袤的宇宙及其吉祥景象的一部分（見Jessica Rawson，，《China The Three Emperors 1662-1795》，倫敦，2005年，第358至361頁）。本品山水景緻或取靈感自東海蓬萊島。
乾隆時期，玉雕創作逐漸轉變為立體微型山水雕刻，多種形狀及尺寸一應俱全；台北故宮博物院藏有一例，曾於「宮廷之雅：清代仿古及畫意玉器特展」中展出，台北，1997年，編號40；北京故宮博物院藏一例，載於「《故宮博物院藏文物珍品大系：玉器（下）》，北京，2008年，圖版53；巴黎蘇富比另於2013年12月12日售出一例，編號100。
