Condition
The bowl is in very good condition with the exception of a slight firing warp to the rim and an iron-spot glaze imperfection to the interior of the bowl.

此盌器形豐碩，盌心刻游魚，刀工寫意，線條流麗簡雅。本品深壁鼓腹，底部微凹，器形罕見。相類者見平足盌例，東京國立博物館藏一件，飾蓮花紋，圖見《東京国立博物館図版目錄：中国古陶磁篇1》，東京，1988年，圖版357；另一例藏故宮博物院，北京，載錄《定窰雅集：故宮博物院珍藏及出土定窰瓷器薈萃》展覽圖錄，北京，2012，圖版52；第三例，臨宇山人珍藏，售於香港佳士得2015年12月2日，編號2815。
傳世定窰魚紋大盌，器形多端莊穩碩，帶圈足，器身較本品大；參考一較大例，外壁刻蓮瓣，故宮博物院藏，載於《定窰雅集：故宮博物院珍藏及出土定窰瓷器薈萃》，同上，圖版53；大維德爵士舊藏一例，飾單魚紋，現寶蓄倫敦大英博物館，刊於Mary Tregear，《Song Ceramics》，倫敦，1982年，圖版29；大英博物館藏另一作例，出自Eumorfopoulos收藏，圖見《Oriental Ceramics: The World’s Great Collections》，東京，1982，第4冊，圖版56；第四例，售於倫敦蘇富比2016年5月11日，編號32。
