- champleve enamel gilt bronze
each with a pear-shaped body rising from a spreading stepped foot to a waisted neck encircled by a ring and a gilt-bronze chilong, surmounted by a faceted and lobed garlic-head below an everted rim, the body and the top of the foot decorated with dense lotus scrolls in colourful champlevé enamels against a semi-matte gilt ground, the neck encircled by a band of key fret, the rim with dots, the edge of the foot skirted with a classic scroll and a band of circles
Condition
The two vases have slight differences to the enamels and chilong, and may be later matched. There are minor losses to the enamels, small dents and losses to the extremities and rubbing to the gilding. Otherwise both vases are in very good condition.
