the horned beast cast standing foursquare with flame-like projections around its limbs and bushy tail upright, its head forming the hinged cover, detailed with large bulging eyes and curly eyebrows and beard, the mouth opened revealing sharp fangs
Condition
This gilt-bronze qilin is in good condition, but there are a number of areas of gilt loss/rubbing, to the rim of the censer, to the front and sides and to the head. There are numerous minor nicks to the head, body and legs.
