exquisitely carved in the form of a hollowed peach borne on a flowering stem branching out to form the handle, with a large parrot perched atop beside two small fruiting peaches skilfully carved out of the russet inclusions in the stone, its wings and feathers finely incised, the stone of a pale green and russet colour and finished with a high polish
Condition
In overall good condition. There are a few minor nicks to the edges of the leaves and nibbles to the rim and interior of the cup, as well as a small chip to the tip of the parrot's wing. The colour of the cup is more green than the catalogue illustration.
