each with shallow rounded sides rising from a short tapering foot, decorated to the interior with a central medallion enclosing a qilin in a fenced garden, surrounded by four panels with mythical beasts in garden landscapes, all divided by four clambering chilong and reserved on a green fish-roe ground, the rim bordered with six floral shaped cartouches reserved on various diaper grounds
Condition
Both dishes with a lightly ground rim. One dish with two relatively deeper horizontal scratches just below the rim (approx. 6cm), and the other dish with a shallow flake below the exterior rim. There are general surface wear and glaze firing imperfections.
