the globular body rising from a spreading foot to a wide cylindrical neck, brightly decorated with four shaped panels enclosing horses amongst fenced landscapes, divided by animal masks suspending rings, all reserved against a purple enamelled ice-crackle ground with prunus flowers, framed by lappet bands above and below, the neck decorated with continuous panels enclosing white chilong set against an iron-red ground, all reserved on a dotted green ground with florets

The tankard has restoration around the interior, the base and the exterior (e.g. the rim and the aubergine diaper ground), this may be linked to the loss of a handle, or the tankard broken and restuck. There is strained crazing along the rim. The foot with some minor shallow chips. Minor glaze firing imperfections.
