The dish has a small rim chip which has been repainted. There are two faint rim hairlines (1.8 and 0.7cm). There is a 4cm stained glaze hairline along the interior of the foot to the base. The yellow glaze is of a warmer tone and the mark is of a brighter blue tone compared to the catalogue illustration.

本品形簡而色單，燒製極為不易，胎、釉、火必精熟，方見成品，但有微瑕，則前功盡棄。黃釉者，宮廷獨斷，始於明初，僅作禮器之用。至雍正一朝，以銻入料，檸檬黃釉瓷則可供宮廷各場合運用。黃釉含氧化亞銻酸，雍正年間，瓷匠利用亞銻酸鐵與氧化錫，研製燒成不透明之檸檬黃彩，呈色鮮明亮黃。

此款尺寸之大，尤為罕見；參考大維德爵士收藏之兩小碟，現藏於倫敦大英博物館，載於《Illustrated Catalogue of Ming and Qing Monochrome Wares in the Percival David Foundation of Chinese Art》，倫敦，1989年，圖版543-544；亦見一對例，出自Paul and Helen Bernat收藏，售於香港蘇富比1988年11月15日，編號60；另見一對屬Goldshmidt收藏，後納入徐氏藝術館藏，載於《徐氏藝術館陶瓷IV．清代》，香港，1995年，圖版29，售於香港蘇富比1990年11月13日，編號67；亦見一對屬胡惠春收藏，售於紐約蘇富比1995年9月23日，編號429。
