carved as an elephant standing foursquare with its head turned towards its left, caparisoned with a long tasselled saddle rug decorated with ruyi and waves, set with two boys kneeling atop the elephant supporting a vase containing precious objects, one boy kneeling next to its right foreleg holding a branch of coral, the smoothly finished stone of an even pale celadon tone

The end of one of the precious objects has chipped, as well as the tips of the branch. There are some minor nicks to the extremities, and the colour of the jade is more green compared with the catalogue illustration.
