well potted with deep rounded sides resting on a tall hollow splayed foot moulded with bands, the exterior of the cup decorated in cobalt blue with a pair of dragons chasing 'flaming pearls', the interior centred with a floret and detailed a 'classic' scroll border along the inner rim, the cavetto decorated in the anhua ('hidden decoration') technique with dragons in pursuit of 'flaming pearls', all below a thin blue band along the rim

Condition
The stemcup is in fine condition and the area of the TL test has been restored to the unglazed base. The dating of this stemcup is consistent with the results of a thermoluminescence (TL) test, Hong Kong, prior to November 1996, sample no. 01163.

不同於常見之菊紋或焰珠，此高足盃心繪六瓣嬌蕊，甚是珍稀，存世僅有寥寥幾例，其一1998年出土於安徽省繁昌縣，2006年曾展出於合肥安徽博物院，刊於《元瓷》，北京，2009年，頁51（左）。香港佳士得2011年6月1日也曾售一例，編號3807。
類同高足盃甚稀，綴青花龍紋於外壁，內飾模印暗花雙龍紋，盃心繪不同紋飾。北京故宮博物院藏一例，盌心繪菊枝，載於《故宮博物院藏文物珍品全集．青花釉裏紅（下）》，上海，2000年，圖版12。大英博物館藏一盃，刊於霍吉淑，《Ming Ceramics in the British Museum》，倫敦，2001年，圖版1:24。1970年南京明初汪興祖將軍墓出土一件高足盃，紀年洪武四年，錄於汪慶正，《青花釉裏紅》，香港，1987年，圖版31，及《中國出土瓷器全集》，北京，2008年，卷7，圖版149。Eumorfopoulos 舊藏一盃，曾展出於《Chinese Blue and White Porcelain: 14th to 19th Centuries》，東方陶瓷學會，Arts Council Gallery，倫敦，1953-4年，編號13，1968年7月2日售於倫敦蘇富比，編號117。同錄一件高足盃，盌心繪焰珠，同上，編號11，並曾錄於東方陶瓷學會銀禧展覽，《The Ceramic Art of China》，維多利亞與艾伯特博物館，倫敦，1971年，編號136。還有一盃售於香港佳士得1994年10月31日，編號542。
近類高足盃亦見繪龍紋於外，內部無暗花者，如上海博物館藏一盃，盃心繪一法螺，展出於《幽藍神采：元代青花瓷器特集》，上海博物館，上海，2012年，編號22；另一例盃心青花書「壽」字，1992年4月28日售於香港蘇富比，編號27。
