蓮花盌形制首見於康熙時期金屬作例，通體作盛放蓮花，嬌豔繽紛，參考台北故宮博物院藏一件康熙御製畫琺瑯蓋盌，錄於《清代畫琺瑯特展目錄》，台北，1979年，編號128；北京故宮博物院藏另一例，帶原座，載於《故宮博物院藏品大系．琺瑯器編．清畫琺瑯》，卷5，北京，2011年，圖版25。

一件近類瓷盌售於紐約佳士得1995年3月23日，編號400；望星樓珍藏一件蓋盌，略小，刊於《清代康雍乾官窰瓷器．望星樓藏瓷》，香港，2004年，圖版59，可能出自香港蘇富比1988年11月16日，編號386。並參考一對乾隆窰蓮花式瓷盤，1978年11月29日，編號309。

粉彩蓮花盌續作至晚清，如一對道光蓮花盌，載於汪慶正，《胡惠春先生王華雲女士捐贈瓷器精品選》，上海，1989年，圖版93；養志堂藏一件光緒窰作例，錄於《關氏所藏晚清官窰瓷器》，香港中文大學文物館，1983年，編號138，售於新加坡佳士得1997年3月30日，編號283，後於2006年5月30日售於香港佳士得，編號1457。
