of square section surmounted by a bixie seated on its haunches with the body hunched and the head turned towards its right, the beast depicted with a bifurcated mane and taut muscles detailed with fine incisions, its bifurcated tail extending upwards on both sides of the body, the stone of a warm golden-orange colour with reddish-brown streaks, the seal face carved with an inscription reading shang xin wei bimo, zhiji you qin shu

The seal is in overall good condition with expected minor bruises and nicks to the edges of the seal and seal face as well as the extremities of the bixie. There is also faint surface wear to the sides. The catalogue illustration is a tinge redder than the actual colour of the stone.
