毛子堅舊藏海上名家書畫（編號261-269）

毛子堅（1882-1954），名經疇，上海人。家道豐瞻，清末民初期間，積極參與當地公共事務，擔任不少社團公職，在仕紳階層中聲譽俱隆。毛氏雅好藝術，日後專注社會活動，海上藝事仍多有參與，與吳昌碩以降之海上畫家極為熟稔，與吳湖帆更具姻親之誼。本輯所集均其後人直接提供，廣涉清中晚期海派名家，雖多屬成扇小品，惟質量極精，大有可觀矣！

上款：「星洲」即徐新周（1853-1925），別署星周，江蘇蘇州人。幼嗜金石，師從吳昌碩，得其心法，刀下治印，神形俱似，邊款亦然，缶翁晚年，礙於目力，亦有請其捉刀。有〈耦花盫印存〉四冊傳世，輯其印百六十方，缶老親為撰序，讚其藝「精粹如秦璽，古拙如漢碣，兼以彝器封泥，靡不采精擷華」。

他與粵印人鄧爾雅有交誼，高劍父、奇峰昆仲用印亦多出其手。於滬懸例鬻印，求者踵接，且名播海外，日人尤喜，請刻者眾。
