毛子堅（1882-1954），名經疇，上海人。家道豐瞻，清末民初期間，積極參與當地公共事務，擔任不少社團公職，在仕紳階層中聲譽俱隆。毛氏雅好藝術，日後專注社會活動，海上藝事仍多有參與，與吳昌碩以降之海上畫家極為熟稔，與吳湖帆更具姻親之誼。本輯所集均其後人直接提供，廣涉清中晚期海派名家，雖多屬成扇小品，惟質量極精，大有可觀矣！
