註：井西居士以山水稱勝於京華畫壇，筆下造境多出於胸臆，或師前人畫境，鮮見紀遊，或明示取景所在。本冊十二開，僅兩開寫四川、北京，餘者俱為江南風光，各處地貌景致，特徵鮮明，每開皆以小字篆書標明地點，乃其山水作品中稀見者。祁氏生平資料甚缺，未悉冊中諸景是否其遊踪所及，又鈐「井西臨古」、「井西摹」印，或許出諸綜合各家而成，惟筆墨設色不脫個人本色，可見其早期風格之貌。
