郭河陽〈秋山蕭寺〉，趙吳興〈重江叠嶂〉所從出也。丙戌春日。沱江村居臨記。張爰。

〈鶴銘〉水前本、至不江建霞四十七字本，字口形方，號為宋拓。匋齋寉壽本有「華陽真逸」四字，的是宋物，然自「上皇歲得起」數十字仍是明人填墨，非宋拓也。先農髯師水拓本有「壬辰歲得於華亭」之「辰」字，澹墨而神采煥耀，此銘之星鳳。寒齋所蓄亦數本，有何貞翁舊藏，「夅」下隱隱是「岳」字，故貞翁題詞有云「夅岳丹丘都一例」。此背臨先師李文潔公本，公蓋以篆法為之也。張爰謹識。

「 張季」、「大千居士」、「鶴」肖形印、「兩到黃山絕頂人」、「張爰之印」。

-Signs of restoration and be fond especially along the bottom edge of both leave, where there appears to be paper cracks and paper previously. Otherwise, generally in good condition.

註：大千先生書畫取法古人，不侷促於一家，筆下縱橫古今，融匯貫通，自成面貌。本幅曰取自郭熙之作，並謂趙吳興〈重江叠嶂圖〉亦從此出，實帶出李郭一派山水畫風對後世傳承之影響。畫中佈局、構圖，偏近趙承旨之〈重江叠嶂圖〉，亦參合了郭河陽〈樹色平遠〉卷，寫來山巒綿延橫亘，無北地雄奇險峻之勢，卻見江南清秋之色，意境疏簡恬靜，惟右方一角屋舍隱現，簷頂點以硃砂，於江畔景致蒼茫中，頓生醒目之效，令以素墨為主調的畫面生色不少。
另面以魏碑體臨〈瘞鶴銘〉，復以行書長題有關〈鶴銘〉諸版本之攷據，兩體書法兼存，寬鬆並見，且落筆從左至右，此在其書寫順序上堪稱稀見。
畫家寫本幅乃自故都渡歲後返蜀之時，正值抗戰勝利，文物大量散出市肄，他得以飽覽並積極購藏，寓目手摹劇迹甚多，且烽烟平息，心境大快，遂有此精心繪製之作面世。
