方駿1965年畢業於南京師範學院美術系，其後於南京藝術學院沈濤教授指導下專攻工筆人物，並於1981年獲頒碩士學位。他被公認為同輩最優秀的山水畫家之一，也是南京新文人畫群體的一員。古都南京是一座文化重鎮，不僅以優美風光見稱，更蘊涵一脈奇異氣息，悠久的美學傳統深深影響了當地藝術風格。
方駿的畫作保留別具詩意的獨特風格，巧妙平衡「寫意」與「工筆」兩種相對技法。方氏於《一川平遠》（拍品編號538）及《家山雲起》（拍品編號540）中，以水墨線條描繪輪廓與細節，另配搭以柔和染色，令人聯想起源於唐代、盛於宋元的青綠山水傑作。他又透過自己獨特的個人風格，使對比強烈的水墨與色彩豔麗的礦物顏料和諧相融，打破青綠傳統與單色山水畫之間的界限。
