Overall in good condition. There is scattered foxing on the upper left quadrant of the painting, which can be improved with restoration. Overall framed dimensions: 99.4 by 71.7 cm; 39⅛ by 28¼ in.

顧媚生於藝術世家，父親顧淡明乃廣東著名畫家兼鑑藏家，從小便與其父好友趙少昂、馮康侯、李研山等嶺南派大師相熟，耳濡目染。顧媚少時歌藝書畫兼學，故於1950年代在香港出道成為影歌雙棲的明星，被演藝圈稱之為「小雲雀」。顧媚於1962年起習畫，師從胡念祖、呂壽琨、趙少昂等名家。顧氏用色擅用「留白」，靈巧運用明暗技法，水墨層次豐富，光影充滿戲劇性，具有嶺南派特色。顧媚筆下崇山峻谷、煙嵐靄霧兼具細膩寫實與現代風格，創新的水墨哲理形成獨當一面的個人風格。顧媚現居加拿大，其作品於亞洲及北美廣泛展出，更於1977年獲頒香港藝術館市政局藝術獎。
