森之長城計劃

此計劃旨在推動受日本二〇一一年東日本地震影響的日本東北海岸地區建立一個「守護生命的森林防潮堤」。

我們先在泥土上建立起五米高的土牆，然後在志願者及居民的幫忙下，我們種植當地品種的常青闊葉樹木，例如椎樹、楠樹及橡木等。這些常青植物的根部會深入土地達四至六米，在十五至二十年之後，他們會建立起一片具規模的樹林，以便在海嘯侵襲時，作為緩衝之用。

「森之長城計劃來自我們在經歷過前所未有之地震災害後所得出的智慧及學問，我們必須把它承傳給下一代以保護人類。」前任日本首相及計劃現任總裁細川護煕說。

全球知名的建築師安藤忠雄是森之長城計劃的顧問委員，並自計劃成立後予以支持。

今次安藤忠雄捐出拍品764及765為基金籌款義拍。另有兩件作品將會於四月五日的〈文人玩趣-怪奇〉專場作慈善拍賣。
