崔有讓的祖父是汽車工程師，父母則是雕塑師，故此，崔有讓耳濡目染下，幼年已經喜歡把陶泥創造成不少原始主義風格的雕塑。他的動態雕塑結合了藝術、科學及神經機械，更巧妙地把中央處理器、馬達及二極管放在一起，這些迷人的雕塑，既與人相通，亦同時有著奇異的美學取向，讓我們對生命的進化充滿想像。他的作品探索宇宙的力量及自然與人文的歷史進化歷程，以機械的動能及運動，代表著人類如何適應環境及科技的變化。

崔有讓一九七〇年生於首爾，九十年代於中央首爾大學取得藝術學士及碩士學位。二〇〇六年崔有讓於紐約Bitforms畫廊舉辦首個美國展覽。自此於國際間聲名日隆，展覽不斷，包括二〇〇六年的上海雙年展及二〇〇八年的利物浦雙年展等。他的作品獲釜山都會藝術館、首爾三星美術館、東京森美術館及紐約的亞洲協會等收藏。
