〈陸〉
石谷王先生山水合南北二宗為一家,其所臨宋元名蹟不能悉數,故得陶鎔此無所不能之筆,至晚歲尤於董巨黃王三致意焉。是卷乃仿巨然僧臨安山色,今原本歸烏程龐氏,尚未至龐時,喬年世長於京邸見之,冥心默坐追索古神,是即以石谷之緬想巨然者,緬想石谷也。古人今人,間不容髮,惟在精神契合耳。恢於此事涉歷有年,惟性質鈍滯不能悟入,而臨摹甘苦尚能窺見藩籬,故於喬年所臨卷不禁歡喜讚歎而欣然記之。丁未秋八月,書於滬上。廉夫陸恢。
〈張〉
耕煙〈重江疊嶂圖卷〉長六丈三尺,為國朝第一精品。
純廟題云:盡態極妍凝神靜思。客臘於京師,見耕煙仿荊浩筆意巨軸,原題有「雲迷古木千章秀,山抱晴川一掌平」二句,亦為罕見至寶,嶺南辛氏以重價得之。今展玩喬年此卷,能得神似,若蕭誠工臨古帖,海嶽最精鉤橅,名手精墨,均為世所寶貴。
劭盦仁兄明窗凈几,筆硯精良,暇時展讀,知無異晤對清暉也。戊申仲春,金匱張曾疇時在都門。

-Signs of creases can be found on the bottom of frontispiece. A crack can be found on the bottom of middle part of the painting, otherwise, generally in good condition.

註:本幅摹自王翬於康熙三十五年(1696)所寫之〈臨安山色〉。按陸恢題跋曰:原卷未歸龐虛齋時周梓得睹於京師,「冥心默坐」、「緬想石谷」,遂臨成此卷。若兩卷對照互參,除開首處欠牛犢放牧林間之小節外,餘下山重水複、浮嵐江水,動如鳥掠舟盪,靜若幽徑靜廬,細似岸渚葦草,構圖幾無二致,卷長尋丈,凡四紙接成。喬年運筆鬆秀,用墨淡而不薄,於緊密處重重點劃,層次清晰,細緻精微中無滯塞之弊,氣息流暢。雖曰規模耕烟,非生硬搬移過紙,卻是神采煥然,韻味醇厚,恰如廉夫謂「古人今人……惟在精神契合耳」,一語盡其旨也。
本卷保留當年裝裱,亦百載矣。復具吳缶老篆書大字題耑,陸廉夫跋卷尾,滬上名家,語皆讚嘆,喬年作品傳世既稀,致畫名不彰,今藉此卷,足顯其藝以垂後世。
