款識:
宋米襄陽得江南李後主研山,著於陶南村〈輟耕錄〉。此石流傳明代,歸新安許文穆,又歸秀水朱文恪。清康熙中猶在文恪曾孫竹垞檢討家,王漁洋於古藤書屋觀之,為作七古詩,坿以截句寄竹垞,云「南唐寶石刼灰餘,長與幽人伴著書;青峭數峯無恙在,不湏淚滴玉蟾蜍」,後為崑山徐司冦購去。翁覃谿閣學曾於羅兩峯觀音庵見之,謂借此石至蘇米齋,為之攷辨,相伴十日,屬兩峯為作圖,以補仲圭之蹟,又邀同時諸公為詩,以踵王朱諸前輩之遺韵。研山橫逕七寸八分,高低凡六峯。其右之第一峯,截然突起,微類筍形,頂有竅穴,曰玉筍峯。第二峯曰方壇,下瘦上廣,方平瑩潔,故壇名焉,一小峯附其下。中一峯,高四寸餘,聳峭挺立,勢若卷旗,曰華蓋峯。稍下為月嵓,圓竇相通。其左之第一峯,斜連坡陀,後漫前俛。第二峯嶐崇離出,高不及三寸,有數十仞之象,亦有小竇嵌空。其第三峯則與華蓋峯相連,而岡阜樸野,曰翠巒者是也。龍池在其下,滴水少許,經旬不竭,下洞在方壇之趾,上洞據華蓋之麓。下洞三折,可通上洞,色墨而有光,巑岏岝崿,無斧鑿痕,望之蒼翠欲滴,襄陽所謂不假雕琢,渾然天成者也。
丹翁先生喜風雅,能詩歌,嘗遷新安,游吳越,於許文穆、朱文恪、徐司冦之故里皆所習經,賞覽山川,緬懷文獻,而託情於研山,屬拙筆以為之圖。余稽覃谿之言,知當時此石尚存崑山徐氏,今距百餘年,滄桑幾易,不識尚在人間否,兩峯之畫亦不可見,而見漁洋、竹垞、覃谿諸公之詩文,則是圖將坿,君有佳什以傳,幸已。賓虹。

Condition

-Signs of restoration can be found, where there appears to be paper loss previously. Paper has turned greyish due to age, tiny areas of paper losses can be found and a few inscription characters are affected, which can be improved by restoration. Otherwise, generally in fair to good condition.

註:宋代米芾好石有名,所得研山乃南唐故物,歷代流傳有緒,由此衍生之〈研山銘圖〉被奉曰寶繪劇迹。黃賓老亦嗜古物,好收藏,以考研辨識為樂,研山之故事,瞭之甚詳。雖未睹當年羅兩峯應翁覃谿所倩為研山作圖,惟其腹笥甚寬,遂據朱竹垞文集所鈙研山形狀之細貌,參諸王士禎、翁方綱之詩,為藝友圖成此幅。

圖中佈局極簡,純為研山存真,其狀如掌張指伸,高低參差錯落,又似峯巒起伏,崚嶒曲突,天然中見斧鑿砍劈之勢。畫家雖按文字記錄,參合意會,寫來卻如對物寫生,極得自然之貌。以枯筆渴墨寫之,綫條簡鍊,渾厚中流露古樸氣息,千年後為古物存照,賓老窮其神矣。

畫上無署年,按筆墨及題跋書法攷之,應屬六十餘歲之作。
