〈江南春〉、〈石湖春泛〉、〈落花圖〉三卷皆衡山澹青綠設色,其濃厚者,惟〈惠麓品泉〉一卷耳。恢又記。

題跋:
有明一代,筆墨工山水者十數家,其國初諸老尚承元派,如姚雲東、杜東原諸君是也。至石田翁出,而取材宏富,合南北為一家,是由元入宋矣,故濃厚蒼茫之外,復有精細一種,造營邱、河陽之室,世遂有沈細之稱也。衡山文太史天姿高曠,得石田緒論,復恣情于山水,間以陶鎔其神趣。其精緻處,草痕如髮而堅勁如鐵,故略施青綠,神采煥然。惟當時精品流傳不多,吳下丹青家率從偽本臨橅,皆色有餘而筆不足矣。恢年卅餘至吳門,見嘉道間諸家所擬文畫,類崇色澤,即以為文派固如是也。及至謁艮庵先生於怡園,出示所藏衡山真蹎,始知此老精詣自有所在,不當僅于色澤求之。此卷設色雖工,未到其蒼勁處。鹿笙九兄推愛收之,不勝感慨,而鹿笙即艮庵先生令子,素精賞鑒,富有收藏,其不棄此卷而屬為題句者,以恢能識廬山真面而不囿於設色之一偏也,特記數言以質知己。廉夫恢題記。

註:陸恢於畫上題曰臨文徵仲〈惠麓圖〉卷,跋尾又謂謁怡園觀顧文彬氏藏之文氏畫作,方悟其設色之妙詣。又據他於一八八七年另幅〈惠麓品茶圖〉題曰「曾於顧氏過雲樓見文衡山〈惠麓品茶〉長卷,已為友人臨一過……」,今應友人「屬塗立幅,取其位置,易其筆墨成之」。綜合上述兩跋,本幅應臨自顧艮庵舊藏(今歸故宮博物院;另有一本,屬宮爾鐸舊藏,現歸上海博物館)。惟見諸顧氏〈過雲樓書畫記〉所錄之文徵明〈惠山茶會圖〉,畫心衹及兩尺,僅卷末題跋詩文較多,畫圖內容亦與本卷大異,故廉夫所臨包括本幅在內之一圖一卷,雖云「小易位置」,實構圖佈局,位置經營皆與原貌迥異,且未見「茶會」、「品茶」之狀。但「過雲樓」後人顧西津於上及陸氏〈品茶圖〉軸有跋曰「衡翁〈茶會圖〉寫人物則被服古雅,寫松石則景色妍麗,神似漚波手筆,廉夫此作存其意而易其法,亦所謂食古能化者歟……」由此視之,陸氏汲古而不泥古,前後所臨兩幅,皆出諸領略體悟,參己法而生新貌。

他筆下所出本幅,設色非步武松雪之古艷,亦不純取徵仲之清麗,雖自謂未到文氏「蒼勁處」,惟秀雅清潤,淺淡暈染中,以青綠顏料醒其陂地岩石,遂見濃淡相宜互襯,全卷於雋逸中呈點綴生色之妙。

從跋語所示,畫家寫畢,好友顧鹿笙見而喜之,遂轉贈。顧鹿笙,蘇州人,「過雲樓」顧家之後,與顧西津為叔侄。他承襲家風,嗜書畫收藏,又因家族淵源,與姑蘇藝林文壇碩宿如吳昌碩、陸恢、費念慈等過從甚密, 其「漢玉鈎室」所藏極豐。

題耑首者張增熙(1875-1922),乃南潯巨族之後,張靜江之長兄。他支持革命,興辦教育,又好金石書畫,精鑑別,與姻親「密韻樓」蔣氏、「嘉業堂」劉氏皆民國時期收藏界大家。
