of rectangular form, one side carved with a qilin gazing at the moon within a recessed panel, the reverse freely incised with a mountainous landscape and two moulded cylindrical tubes beside the spandrels, all raised on a stepped base, covered in an olive-green glaze, the unglazed base burnt red in the firing
Condition
The unglazed right foot has an old refilled chip and another flake with overpaint, measuring approx. 2 x 2.5 cm and 1 x 1.2 cm respectively. The left foot has a further flake 0.5 cm. There are also some original firing imperfections, including some underglazed firing lines.
