There is an approx. 3.5 cm restored two-pronged shaped hairline crack running from the rim of the incense burner with overpaint to the exterior. There are also minute expected nicks to the edges, including the rim, foot and the fragile extremities of the applique handles, around which remain some kiln grits and residue. There are small nicks to the edges of the cover, including the inner flange, as well as the 'beast' finial on the cover with its tail missing. There are also minor firing imperfections such as firing cracks and glaze gaps characteristic of its type and age.
