depicting Zhenwu seated in the centre of a rocky landscape with a tortoise and serpent beneath the deity's feet, flanked by attendants and the Three Great Emperor officials and two robed attendants standing behind, the animals of the 'four directions' situated on the rocky outcrop, as well as a rabbit, bat and mythical beast

There are small nicks to the extremities, including the dragon's horns and whiskers, and the studs to the headdress of the figures, as well as some which have been slightly polished, including the edges of the rockwork. There are a few restuck chips, including the head of Zhenwu, the head and body of the female on his right, the snake, turtoise and the bat(possibly later added). There are also typical firing cracks. There are a few other areas that appear to have been restored.
