- Ivory
carved in openwork along the shaft with chyrsanthemum and secondary stems issuing gourds around a central branch, extending to the head with further leafy branches, stained green except for the flowers and fruits
Condition
There are expected minor nicks to the extremities, particularly to the tips of the twigs. There are skilfully restored sections with some replacements to the fragile and reticulated carvings of the head and the end of the shaft.
