There are typical horizontal crease lines in keeping with its original being a scroll. As visible in the catalogue photo, these have resulted in minor losses.

The Shakyamuni Buddha sits surrounded by scenes depicting the deeds and miracles from his previous lives recorded in the Jataka text.
