painted in an earlier Ming style, the layman (upsaka) depicted accompanied by his companion tiger, with Vaishravana carrying the banner and Virupaksha holding the stupa in the foreground, framed and glazed
Condition
As visible in the catalogue photo, there are visible crease lines, but these have only resulted in minute losses to the pigments which are overall preserved well. There are water marks to the lower right area. Other minor losses and surface wear.
