the divinity seated in vajraparyankasana on an elaborate lotus base framed by a multi-coloured mandorla, the right hand in bhumisparshamudra and the left in dhyanamudra, all against multi-coloured clouds and verdant hills in the distance, framed and glazed
Condition
The thangka is now framed and glazed (and not inspected outside the frame). The thangka is in generally in good condition. There are some expected creases in areas as well as rubbing to the pigments. The colours remain very fresh and attractive. There are expected areas of touch up to compensate some pigment losses due to the rolling and unrolling of the thangka as well as some touch-ups along the upper edge, possibly to conceal water stains.
