comprising: a white soapstone seal with a 'mythical beast' finial, one side with an inscription reading He tian; a smaller opaque white soapstone of square section, the top dated to the renxu year and possibly signed Zhao Shuru; a small greyish-brown seal with an irregularly rounded top; an orange seal with an 'elephant' finial and a thin 'mythical beast' band bordering the upper seal; and a metal seal surmounted by an 'elephant' finial, all with carved seal faces
Condition
All six seals are in good general condition. There is surface wear and general pitting in the stone as well as a few bruises to the white seal on the far left of the catalogue. There is some nibbling to one upper corner of the second left seal as well as some minor nicks to the edges. There is an old repair in the cast to the back of the metal elephant seal.
