Jarric (1566–1617) was a French Jesuit. His work gives an insight to the missionary enterprises of the Jesuits up to 1610, building on the reports by Father Luis de Guzman and of Father Ferdinand Guerreiro. The present work deals mostly with Africa, Brazil, India and China, constituting a primary source of information on the advances made in the region.
