This work is in good condition overall. There are signs of handling and wear along the edges of the metal as well as discoloration along the crevices of the Plexiglas, which are inherent to the age of the medium.

蓋·德·胡蒙──藝術融入生活

蓋·德·胡蒙是當今世代最優秀的巴黎藝術家之一，其創作糅合極簡主義及普普藝術，善以鮮豔大膽的色彩，配合柱狀、橢圓形、圖騰及曲線，塑造順暢自然的形態。胡蒙對繽紛色彩的觸覺敏銳獨特，別樹一幟，不論在藝術及家具設計領域均奠下標誌性地位。

胡蒙曾就讀巴黎國立裝飾藝術學院，其後於1962年至1964年前赴委拉斯開茲學院修業。他於1965年參加巴黎雙年展，次年參與五月美術沙龍展。藝術家在七十年代旅居紐約期間，開始涉足極簡主義。此時期的不少創作更成為他最享負盛名的代表作，當中包括與室內設計師亨利·塞繆爾協作而成的經典作品《雲桌》。他於七十年代創作的桌子更於2011年及2013年的拍賣以逾200,000美元成交。

胡蒙好奇妙想，渴求超越繪畫、雕塑與設計的界限。作為著名法蘭西藝術院的成員，他的作品更被納入世界各地多個公共及私人收藏。巴黎裝飾藝術博物館曾於1990年舉辦胡蒙作品回顧展，而其大型傑作現更屹立於聖路易斯醫院、奧賽美術館前院、日本箱根露天博物館、維勒班阿爾伯特·托馬斯廣場、波昂霍夫花園、厄瓜多爾基多大都會公園以及楠泰爾。
