Condition
This work is in very good condition overall. There is light handling and discoloration along the edges, and light wear to the turning edges. The canvas is not lined. Under UV light, there is no evidence of restoration. Framed under Plexigals.

是次上拍作品,題材並不顯赫,且以單色繪成,卻生動表現出安迪·沃荷創作生涯的巔峯時期。1980年代,沃荷構思一系列黑白廣告畫作,借用了廣告、圖解、地圖及報章雜誌插圖等多種圖象,《健美成材》正是其中之一。俄國導彈基地照片、伊朗及阿富汗地圖、還有各種消費品諸如球鞋、漢堡及電單車等圖象齊聚,為美國消費文化留下冷酷的註腳之餘,亦弔詭地相互呼應。沃荷1984年「廣告」系列所採用的圖象俐落、富商業氣息,與此相比,黑白廣告畫取材較為樸實、風格較為平易近人。
《健美成材》自健身雜誌廣告改寫而成,注入反諷格調,貫徹藝術家獨特風格。沃荷結合了粗體文字流暢但寬厚的筆觸,藉此模糊人與機器之間的界線,既重詮了傳統繪畫技法,又顛覆了廣告單一制式的形式。作品中的文字大膽之餘不失反諷,而圖象則暗示且近且遠、高不可攀的目標。文字全為大寫,穩重厚實,以絲印油墨突顯——油墨只得黑白,使觀者聚焦藝術家強烈的視覺語言。圖象赤裸暴露在畫布上。單色構圖甚為突出,進一步指出藝術家對畫作主題的重視,更控訴廣告背後的剝削本質。沃荷不斷挑戰藝術可容納的題材尺度,其大才有如先知,正是他留下最偉大的傳奇,奠定其20世紀最具影響力文化界風雲人物的地位。
