This work is in good condition overall. There are minor signs of handling along the edges of the canvas. There are areas of surface craquelure in the lower quadrant of the composition, noticeably at the blues and oranges where the impasto is thicker. Framed.

馬克布勒·菲達·侯賽因是印度最具影響力的藝術家之一，大幅重新定義藝術。1959年，侯賽因獲洛克菲勒獎學金到紐約深造，接觸到抽象表現主義藝術家如馬克·羅斯科的作品。《紅色風景》靈感均取材自侯賽因於1960年代初在拉賈斯坦邦的旅遊經歷，受到羅斯科的用色及構圖影響而成。色彩是侯賽因畫作的要素。《紅色風景》中的畫面分為幾個橫向平塗色面，四邊圍繞著畫布白邊。畫中的色彩運用成功結合了羅斯科的用色技巧以及印度細密畫傳統元素。拉傑普特細密畫對拉扎影響深遠，亦賦予侯賽因創作此畫的靈感。
