le corps orné de fleurs en relief et de quatre bustes d'hommes chinois issus de consoles rococo et représentés la bouche ouverte, le col orné de feuillages stylisés et l'intérieur muni d'une doublure en cuivre ; reposant sur un socle en bronze doré de style Louis XV ; (un buste restauré, un éclat au col)

Condition

Illustration is fine. Porcelain is quite dirty. The porcelain with fine cracks particularly to the junction of the busts and the body. One bust refixed to the body with obvious traces of refixing one chip to the upper circular border. Several small chips and wear to the glaze. The base is later, in Louis XV style.

La manufacture de Doccia fut fondée près de Florence par le marquis Carlo Ginori  en 1737. Cette manufacture est toujours active aujourd’hui, faisant d’elle la plus ancienne d’Italie. Elle était réputée pour son superbe émail blanc utilisé entre 1770 et 1790 qui couvre la pâte grise de la porcelaine. Cet émail, bien visible sur notre tulipière, était d’habitude destiné à la faïence. Carlo Ginori commandait ses moules à de grands sculpteurs tels que Soldani-Benzi et Giovanni Battista Foggini.
