Condition

The illustration of the catalogue is accurate. Good overall condition despite the inevitable scratches and marks due to age and use. There is a minor and restored vertical shrinkage crack on each mahogany panel. The left hand lateral side of the plinth has to be refixed properly. A few minor losses to the mahogany veneer of the plinth. A few minor restored chips to the jasper top. The gilding of the mounts is slightly tarnished and rubbed. An element of the inner lock of the door is missing. Very elegant model with a nice old provenance. The veneer of the top is restored but it does not matter as the top is veneered with original minor hair cracks between each marble piece.
