There is a small ca. 0.4 cm area of loss to the bamboo on the edge of the cover. There are fine cracks to the indented parts of the cover where the bamboo is joined and two ca. 1cm cracks to the veneer on one side. There is a ca. 1.8x0.5cm wide crescent-shaped part missing to the inside rim of the box. There are fine cracks to the indented parts of the box where the bamboo is joined .On the foot rim, there is a ca. 0.7 cm loss to the bamboo veneer. Under the foot, the bamboo veneer is warped and there is also a ca. 1.3 cm hairline long crack starting on the rim and extending into the centre. The cover is very slightly warped. The box and cover are of a darker colour than the catalogue illustration suggests.
