描述

  • Gilt-copper alloy

Condition

The figure and the two small figures below the feet are made in six parts, the base cast separately and is sealed. It is heavily cast, the gilding with overall traces of wear. There are several thin stress cracks to the arms and hands of Chakrasamvara. On the front of the figure, three attributes of Chakrasamvara (the trident, the khatvanga and the snare) are missing, on the back, the elephant skin is missing. Tiny casting flaws are visible on the back of the figure and especially a ca. 1.5 cm wide part located on Vajravarahi's left thigh. The gilding is less yellow than the catalogue illustration suggests.
