Movement runs for 20-30 seconds, then stops; the movement will need a service however all pieces are functional but require oil and cleaning. Service at the buyer's discretion and expense. Case in good condition with light scratches to the band and scuffs. Dial in good condition with patina and spotting. Movement in good condition with some scratches and loss of finish. The underdial side of the movement is numbered 22729, which is repeated on the case. The case is also numbered 15323 on the case back and 02074 on the underside of the lug. The present lot contains Precious Red Coral which is CITES listed endangered species and therefore subject to CITES restrictions on international export. The time frame for shipment outside the United States is approximately 6-8 months.

The present lot is from the family of the Marquesa de San Carlos Pedroso of Biarritz, France, and was made under special commission. The Marquesa had a close relationship with Cartier and was in business with the famous fashion designer Hattie Carnegie.
