of circular form, decorated with a boss to the centre, surrounded by meandering vines; together with an inscribed brown lacquer ear cup, Han dynasty and a bronze ‘deer’ cowrie shell holder, Han dynasty, Japanese wood boxes

The mirror is in good condition with the exception of light malachite encrustation covering approximately a 1/4 of the mirrored face and 3/4 of the reverse; the ear-cup is a fragment, now missing approximately 3/4 of the body; and the bronze cowrie shell holder is in good condition with an overall light malachite encrustation to the upper surface and azurite encrustation to the base, both characteristic with burial.
