la prise centrale hémisphérique encerclée d'une large bande ornée de quatre disques pourvus au milieu d'une protubérance conique alternée de quatre quadrupèdes ailés en haut-relief dont un cervidé au galop, encerclée de plusieurs bandes dont la première d'une inscription de 32 caractères archaïques et d'une frise de dents triangulaires, la bordure en forme de crête, la face légèrement convexe, la surface de couleur sombre argentée, couverte de taches rugueuses vertes, brunes et bleues, D.W 3258

Condition
The decorated side of the mirror has been polished revealing the silvery-grey patina of the bronze and a light scattering of malachite encrustation around the central part. The reflective side is covered with malachite and russet encrustations. The x-ray reveals that there are several cracks criss-crossing the surface of the mirror, four of them extending into the rim. Some of these cracks are visible on both sides, others have not broken the malachite and russet encrustations covering the reflective surface of the mirror. There are traces of textile impressions visible on a small part of the malachite encrustation on the reflective surface. The inventory number D.W. 3258 is inscribed in white on the side of the rim. The colour of the bronze is of a slightly darker silvery-grey tone than the catalogue illustration suggests.
