cast seated with the left arm raised and the right hand resting on the knee, wearing a long robe falling into voluminous folds over scale-pattern armor, the face with a serene yet powerful expression below the long neatly combed hair trailing down the back, the lower back with a dated inscription recording the name of the devotees who commissioned the figure, all supported on an openwork base, affixed to wood stand
Condition
The figure is missing one hand and missing the attribute held in the other hand. The sculpture with extensive loss of lacquer. There are small areas of rust erosion- the most prominent on the belly of the figure. The edge of the base is uneven along the back. The surface with overall wear, small nicks and dents from age and use.
